Its not long now until our sorghum crop is ready to harvest & preparations are already under-way! Below are some photos of the crop throughout the growing season. Grain sorghum is one of the main summer crops grown in our area with the Liverpool Plains being the largest sorghum production area in NSW. Once harvested the sorghum is sold for feed to the beef, dairy, pig & poultry industries. Therefore it plays a vital role in producing the meat, milk & eggs found on our supermarket shelves!
